Excerpt frm 'notstupid.org'
Malaysia is the 25th largest net emitter of CO2 in the UNFCC. An oppressive government and largescale corruption has let to the ongoing wholesale destruction of tropical forests in the region.
Malaysia's deforestation rate is accelerating faster than that of any other tropical country in the world, according to data from the United Nations. Analysis of figures from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) shows that Malaysia's annual deforestation rate jumped almost 86 percent between the 1990-2000 period and 2000-2005.

Some slides from a presentation about deforestation and its impact by the American embassy, and an interesting book i found recently...

blablabla

Nothing is original.Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspirations or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows, select only things to steal from that speaks directly to your soul. if you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authentic is invaluble. Originality is non-existent. and don't bother concealing your thievery. Celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember Jean-Luc Godard said:"It is not where you take things from, it's where you take them to"
